True friends bring joy to our life; that’s why we love them so much. And as much as possible, we want our bond with our friends to last forever. Sadly, some of our friends don’t stay with us forever. At times, uncontrollable circumstances force us to be separated from them.
Though it is a heartbreaking experience, this is the harsh reality that some of us may need to face. That is exactly what one puppy and cat named Ms. Cheerio had to go through when they realized that their friendship was only meant to be temporary. These two love each other very much, so it was no easy task for them to say goodbye to each other.
Ms. Cheerio is used to living with many dogs around her because her owner raises show pups. So when one pregnant family dog gave birth to 9 puppies, the cat was more than willing to help raise the pups. For Ms. Cheerio, she viewed the pups as her family.
Corrinne Minnard, Ms. Cheerio’s owner, said that Ms. Cheerio helped with raising all the puppies, but she developed a very close bond with one pup in particular named Elvis. The cat paid special attention to Elvis as he was growing up, which made them become the best of friends.
Unfortunately, Ms. Cheerio and Elvis were never meant to live together because the pup was expected to leave when he gets adopted. Elvis was the last puppy that was chosen out of the litter, which allowed him and Ms. Cheerio friendship to grow even more. But the time came for Elvis to leave.
This meant that the duo had to say their final goodbye as Elvis set off to his forever home. But even though the two won’t be together anymore, their love for each other will surely carry on. Hopefully, their memory of their good times together will comfort both of them when they start missing each other.
