People who grew up with siblings know precisely how tough it is to stand out from the group. Apparently, the same goes for a litter of puppies, too. So in a bid to be the star of the pack, this adorable border collie from Norway crafts a hilarious plan for adopters to notice him instead of his six other littermates.
Henry, the border collie hailing from Stavanger in Norway, was born into a litter of seven and immediately realized the disadvantage of just blending in with his siblings. So whenever their handler was around, he would often show off and jump high into the air, marking him as the active and enthusiastic one of the group.
The pup eventually made his way to professional dog trainer Line Fatland Frøystad, who immediately noticed his energetic attitude. She mentioned that Henry loved jumping around during their training sessions and getting all the attention to himself.
Over time, the border collie began learning to stand on his hind legs, too, earning him plenty of treats from his fur mom. Realizing this was the trick to get more yummy snacks, Henry began standing on his hind legs more often until one day when he eventually learned to walk like a human.
Line was pretty impressed the moment she saw what the pooch could do, but she was more amazed when Henry began doing it backward! Since then, the border collie would always do this unusual trick of his just to earn more treats or get the crowd’s attention.
Whenever he got excited, he would randomly stand on his hind legs, too, and it eventually became Henry’s signature move. Of course, Line never passed up the chance to document the pup’s hilarious trick and share the clips on social media, much to the delight of Henry’s hundreds of fans.
