New Zealand resident Rinsa Li had always wanted to have a cat of her own. However, since she already had a six-year-old Samoyed named Casper, she didn’t entertain the notion of adopting as she was unsure about how the pup would react. But that was until her best friend got a cat.
Rinsa and her friend came up with the idea of introducing Casper to the new pet to gauge his response. At first, they were worried that he would aggressively pounce on the feline when they meet. However, this wasn’t the case at all.
Instead of barking at the kitten, Casper was very sweet and gentle towards the little furball, much to the surprise and delight of Rinsa. So after that meeting, the fur mom decided to start looking for the dream cat she always wanted. That was where Romeo came into the picture.
Romeo had an adorably grumpy face but a super sweet personality. So even from the get-go, Rinsa knew that he would be the perfect match for her Samoyed. However, the feline was understandably scared and nervous around Casper when they got home.
To let Romeo get used to his big brother, Rinsa decided to separate them for about a week until he was settled enough. This was no problem for the Samoyed as he was pretty patient when it came to the cat. He would still approach Romeo from time to time, of course, but he would always back away whenever the feline got scared of him.
Over time, the pair eventually got along, and before Rinsa knew it, they were already the best of friends. The two would always be seen cuddling together and following each other around the house. They were also pretty inseparable every time Rinsa took them out on camping trips.
The fur mom admits that while Romeo and Casper look the opposite outside, they are actually both extremely sweet and lovable creatures. Look at the adorable duo here.
