One afternoon, police officers patrolled throughout a neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They were about to leave the area when little kids informed them about Dice, a Pitbull caged outside of an abandoned apartment.
When the dog’s previous owners moved out of their apartment, they left behind Dice in their backyard with no food or water. Luckily, the policemen were able to pinpoint the dog’s location within minutes. The policemen called animal control, which arrived quickly at the scene. The rescuers transported Dice to a local kill shelter.
Godin was the founder of Feeling Fine Rescue, an animal shelter based in Los Angeles. He found out about Dice’s story and requested for the dog to get reassigned. Godin picked up the dog and brought him to the vet.
The doctors diagnosed Dice as severely malnourished. Due to his condition, the dog had a hard time properly walking. Dice had to stay in the clinic until he was strong enough to do things on his own.
It took a week before Dice got healthy enough to live at Feeling Fine Rescue’s facility. After a few more days, Dice gained weight and started playing with other rescued dogs at the shelter.
It didn’t take long before Godin decided that Dice was ready to find a forever home. A lovely family visited the dog three times at the shelter, each time asking if Dice was already available to gey adopted. The beautiful family took Dice home on a foster-to-adopt basis. After a few days, they called the shelter to adopt Dice officially and made him part of their family.
Godin was thrilled to be part of Dice’s story. Because of his perseverance and determination, he gave another dog a shot at a good life.
